Our tale begins on a warm June day in 2019 when two visionaries, Anand Pardeshi and Keith Fernandes, shared more than just drinks – they shared a dream. Formerly of Seagram's and ABD, Anand brought a wealth of industry experience, while Keith, CEO of Slipdisc Advertising, contributed the creative spark that would ignite Goa's very own whisky revolution.
As the sun set over the coastal beauty of Goa, the idea took root - why not craft a whisky that echoes the warmth and vibrancy of this enchanting region? And so, MŌG ASUÑ was born, a name derived from the beloved Goan phrase "Mog Asuni," meaning "Let there be love between us." It was a sentiment encapsulated not just in words but in every carefully curated sip of MŌG ASUÑ Whisky.
Our graphic designer friend, Bina Nayak, joined this creative endeavor, lending her artistic flair to capture Goa's essence in MŌG ASUÑ's logo and packaging. Inspired by the famed Azulejos tiles, the packaging became a canvas, painting a vivid picture of Goa's cultural heritage, its colours echoing the vibrancy of the coastal landscapes.
But a great whisky is more than just aesthetics; it's about the blend, the fusion of flavours that dance on your palate. MŌG ASUÑ is a symphony of taste, marrying imported malts from the Scottish Highlands with locally sourced grain spirits. This union, perfected over time, is matured in Oakwood barrels, resulting in a whisky that reflects the rich tapestry of Goa.
