"Our Story" unfolds the serendipitous meeting between Anand Pardeshi, a seasoned veteran from Seagram's and ABD, and Keith Fernandes, the creative force behind Slipdisc Advertising, on a fateful day in June 2019. From the decision to create Goa's own whisky to the artistic touch of Bina Nayak in designing the brand's identity, each chapter contributes to the legacy of MŌG ASUÑ. Two commonly used greetings by Goans are- Dev borem korum(God bless, or may God do you some good!) and Mog Asuni Let there be love (between us) said like a goodbye.
On 24 June 2019, Anand Pardeshi who is a former Seagram' s and ABD Employee and Keith Fernandes- CEO of Slipdisc Advertising, met for drinks and decided it was time Goa had its own Whisky. Goa, as everyone knows, is famous for CajuFeni. Several names were considered and they settled for MŌG ASUÑ, a shortened version of Mog Asundi.
They contacted their graphic designer friend Bina Nayak. She quickly designed the logo and packaging to reflect Goan heritage by using a colour palette and motifs inspired by Goa's famed, Azulejos tiles. The next step was to get the right blend. MŌG ASUÑ is made by blending imported malts from Scotland and selected local grain spirits. It is matured to fullness in Oakwood barrels.
To embark on any journey you need finance and that was taken care by my elder brother Shekhar Pardeshi in the initial stage.
Quitting, I don't believe in quitting , cause There is no failure, only feedback.
Difficulties are the plan of GOD, wherein the Lord prepares us for the best part, yet to come. Like, they say “Things happen for reason".
Future plans are to see Product of Goa in the all the retail shelves of pan India in next 5 years.
